FROM LONDON TO NEW YORK-12 HOURS TO SEE IT ALL

What do you do when you traveled all the way fro London but only have 1/2 of a day to spend in New York? Where would you go and what would you see?  New York is a city with an estimated population of 8,537,673 and the most populous city in the United States. At its core is Manhattan, a densely populated borough that’s among the world’s major commercial, financial and cultural centers. Its iconic sites include skyscrapers such as the Empire State Building and sprawling Central Park, Broadway theatre, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Yankee Stadium, Brooklyn Bridge and the list goes on! One would think 12 hours in New York is not enough time to do much. That wasn’t the case for me! I had been in the Big Apple for the first time in my life and i was determined to make the best of it. My plan was to pick the…

AN ASIAN EXPERIENCE – ONLY 10 HOURS AWAY FROM LONDON

10 Hour flight; to explore a vibrant cultured world that is China. Take the time to open your eyes to China, Asia’s most historic and influential countries. China’s in depth mixed environment of mass population, to the endless range of creative, historic and astonishing architecture. If your emotions run wild in travelling, let them run wild here. ‘China is a nation with a five-thousand-year history.’ If you were to follow the similar experiences I myself went through, within this beautiful country that I’ll be discussing. Explore the areas of Beijing, Shanghai and Xi’an. I will be covering brief explanations of my most intriguing moments and memories I had. Travelling across China for 9 days, non-stop with Tour Guides (John, Lily and colleagues: as pictured below). It was all so vast, that more would need to be written. Best to keep it short and sweet! The Environment & Architecture. . .…

THE BEAUTIES OF BOSTON THROUGH THE EYES OF A NEW LONDONER

I was born in Boston, Massachusetts and lived a fair amount of my childhood there. When my family and I moved to Greece, I would go back almost every year and spent my summers with my family and friends. Thanks to my sweet grandfather (as I also mention in my bio) I have been and seen some of the most beautiful places while living there but also when visiting; parks, libraries, museums and markets are a few to mention. My last trip to Boston was many years ago, so you can imagine how happy I was when I was told that I would be going back last January. I was excited that I was going to be able to see how much the city had changed and evolved through all these years. I booked my tickets from London to Boston and couldn’t wait to get on the plain! Today I…

LOW BUDGET DESTINATIONS FROM LONDON TO…

Broke but desperate for holidays? Well join the club!!  Everyone has been at that point in their life where they are so desperately in need of a holiday but sadly can’t afford it. Others feel that it is too difficult to organise a low budget holiday so they don’t bother to even think about it. Either way, this article will give you a few ideas of what to do and where to could go when you are in this situation. As I have mentioned in a different article, living in London can make travelling a bit easier. There are more choices on potential destinations and low cost flights. But even if you don’t live in London you can always make it happen! Have you ever been in that position? I definitely have! Although that has been the deal for me the past few years I always manage to find a solution…

BUDAPEST-ONE CITY, TWO AT HEART

BUDAPEST  Budapest, in my opinion, is one of those cities that is not your first option as a travel destination, however as soon as you get to visit it, you’ll are seduced by its eternal beauty and quality of life to the extent that you will probably try to squeeze it in your holiday trips every year, even for just a weekend.  This diamond of Eastern Europe is a great escape throughout the whole year. But don’t be fooled by the lovely warm weather that often lasts until October because once winter comes it’s not for “the faint hearted”.   Budapest, Hungary’s capital, is bisected by the River Danube. Its 19th-century Chain Bridge connects the hilly Buda district with flat Pest. Just by crossing its stunning range bridges you can bounce between two regions which are completely different but perfectly compliment each other. BUDA… …was the ancient capital of the Kingdom of…

FROM LONDON TO UTRECHT

UTRECHT         One of my favourite things about living in London is the fact that you can jump on a plane and travel almost anywhere in the world. No need to go very far though, because Utrecht is right around the corner. One of the most beautiful cities in Europe and only a 50 minute flight from Stansted airport to Amsterdam Schiphol. Low cost flights are also very easy to find, search online for Ryan flights, EasyJet flights or Transavia flights.  Utrecht is one of my favorite places to visit. Not only is it a beautiful destination for people who like to travel but it is also a city full of history. One of the things you will remember when visiting Utrecht is the great energy in the air, the happy faces, how friendly people are and the amount of people who cycle. Honestly there are more bikes…
